Guy (Final Fight) | Neo Encyclopedia Wiki | Fandom

|- |} Guy (ガイ, Gai?) is a video game character who first appears in the 1989 arcade beat-em-up Final Fight by Capcom. Guy would later reemerge, along with other Final Fight characters, as a fighting game character in Street Fighter Alpha: Warriors' Dreams and its sequels. Each of the three fighters featured their own unique characteristics, with Guy being the fastest of the three due to his ninjutsu skills. One of his most novel techniques in the game is the "Off-the-Wall Kick", a technique which allows Guy to bounce off the wall with a jump kick.Capcom later produced a second Super NES version titled Final Fight Guy, which replaced Cody's character with that of Guy, with the in-game explanation given that Cody was away training under Guy's master in Japan. Later versions of the game such as Final Fight CD for Sega CD and Final Fight One for the Game Boy Advance would include all three characters.Capcom also produced an NES game titled Mighty Final Fight, a parody of the original Final Fight which features all three characters. In the backstory of the original Final Fight, Guy is established to be the 39th successor of the Bushin-style Ninpo, and as such, in his appearances he wears the kanji Bushin (武神?) embroidered into his shinobi shozoku.Capcom later released Final Fight 2 in 1993, a sequel created specifically for the Super NES. In this installment, Guy's sensei, Genryusai and his daughter Rena (Guy's fiancee), are kidnapped by the new incarnation of Mad Gear. In the game's story, Guy is off on a training mission and is unable to rescue his fiancee and master.

Its development was led by the former Metroid Prime (2002) developer Jeff Spangenberg, who sought to create an interactive game with appeal to men inspired by the Girls Gone Wild series of pornographic videos. The objective of is for players to earn points, as well as accumulate bonus points for a meter, titled the Flash-O-Meter, that progressively removes censorship of footage of the women exposing their breasts. Upon release, The Guy Game was a commercial disappointment and received negative reviews, with critics critiquing its tastelessness, slow pace, and lack of content, although some praised it as a niche party title for a college-age audience. The Guy Game drew controversy when a participant filmed exposing her breasts sued the developer and publishers for breach of privacy and emotional distress, and revealed that she was a minor at the time of filming. Her lawsuit successfully obtained a temporary injunction against further distribution, after which Topheavy Studios ceased further sales.Due to the ESRB classification of The Guy Game as 'Mature' instead of 'Adults Only', authors, groups and legislators in the United States targeted it in efforts to restrict minors' access to explicit video games. The Guy Game has been retrospectively assessed as a controversial entry in an emergent genre of adult video games receiving a mainstream commercial release on consoles in the mid-2000s in line with other entries including Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude (2004) and Playboy: The Mansion (2005).The Guy Game is a trivia game in which up to four players answer multiple choice quizzes and complete minigames in a series of 'episodes' that feature a progression of four rounds. The Guy Game Review - GameSpot

If you're up for a little bit of trivia with a dirty sense of humor and you have three like-minded friends, The Guy Game won't let you down. What happens when you take one part You Don't Know Jack and cross it with the drunken college girl antics of the Girls Gone Wild video series? This burning question has been with us for eons, but now, we finally have the answer thanks to Top Heavy Studios' first release, The Guy Game. This topless trivia game is a slickly produced product that has some pretty strong appeal to a specific audience. Somewhere Joe Francis is kicking himself for not coming up with this idea first. That audience is, obviously, the college-aged male. Stereotypically, the college guy is usually drunk and always on the lookout for a little nudity. The Guy Game plays to this stereotype by taking what would otherwise be a standard trivia game and adding college girls--most of them in a semidrunken stupor--attempting to answer trivia questions in a series of videos shot during spring break at South Padre Island.Bonus points go toward your score, but they also have a much larger purpose. The catch to the video in the game is that if the girls miss the question, they have to flash their breasts on camera. But at first, those flashes will be blocked by a big Guy Game banner.
